MP4 player technology
Until last week, I was convinced that my discman was more than sufficient for my mobile music needs. A satchel full of CD’s and spare batteries was a small price to pay for limited, jumpy tunes-on-the-move. Unfortunately, it seems the thirty third time of being sat on reduced it’s efficency to, er, broken. Down with the tech I jumped on the net looking for cheap MP3 players, as you have to update sometime. I was somewhat staggered when I discovered MP4 players were out and about and playing music AND movies. Throwing caution to the wind, I leapt into the datastream and came out with an ONDA VX747 8GB. As I bought it on the net I hadn’t really seen it, now it’s here I’m a happy little camper. Not only will the little thing play tunes, it will play alsmost any video format without having to convert the file first. The screen is tiny, compared to the telly, but more than adequete and crystal clear. Not being an instruction reader, I thought it only had three buttons, but lo, it’s touch screen! At first I though 8Gb’s was pretty impressive but it is expandable to 32Gb. So, tunes, movies, photos and radio. The battery is the fancy new lithium ion variety, onboard and just plug it in to charge. So impressed I tend to take the long way home.
